December has kept with it’s yearly routine of kicking my butt. Very busy and making me super thankful that I chose the size I did for my December Daily journal. A size small enough for a photos and some words. Minimal embellishing.
One change to the cover… I added the year on a little Making Memories tag tied to the rings with baker’s twine (available in my shop)..jpg)
Day one. A little wallet sized photo, label punched with a label punch, some jewels and a handsewn embellishment.

Day two. Even simpler.

Day three. I sewed on a bracket cut with my Slice and added a chipboard poinsetta I’d been hoarding. Three little red gems finish it off.

and Day four. I added in the actually scalloped tag that the kids pulled out of the advent box on that day and wrote about our evening. I cut a chipboard snowflake in half and added one to either side of the tag. More gems.

Note: This page was originally a lime green paper with glittered dots all over it but it didn’t work out with what I had planned so I changed it. No harm no foul.
We got home late last night from a gathering (day five) so I’ll work on that one when I do day six (tonight hopefully).
Anyone else tackling a December journal this year?

Holly H. - i love your mini book…and am SO jealous of your handwriting! no mini book this year, but I’m blogging my way through an insane holiday season this year.
Leigh Penner - Love your album, Marcy!
I’m doing the Dec. Daily, but so far all I’ve done is take pictures and write the journaling on my blog.
christina rayevich - Yes, i’m making a dec. daily as well this year. Mine is also small(which I’m grateful for too lol, it gets sooo busy) and very simple; Instax photos and journaling.

ArlaMo - Simply beautiful! Which is perfect for a busy December.
lisa truesdell - gorgeous! love the detail of the typed out numbers – funny how something so small can make a huge difference.
amy tangerine - how fun! love how we have the same album but the results turn out so different.
Denise - I love the size and uncluttered look of your DD. I am making one, too. Not feeling the shape is working well for me, but too late now. LOL Look forward to seeing more of your book as time goes by.
Jennifer - Love your album so far! You have a great start!
