STUDIO CALICO REVEAL | NEVERLAND

The March kits are out today!  Subbers can shop now…. the shop will be open to non-subbers at 11pm CST.  (Links will not work until that time – unless you’re a subber of course).  Introducing Neverland.

This month I grabbed add-ons 1 (Tink), 2 (Lost Boys) and 3 (Wendy) in addition to the main Scrapbook, Card and Project Life kits.  My guess is that add-on 2 will sell out first.  ;)  Also, new this month is Mr. Huey Mini Mists…  Mister Huey’s in a smaller size.  There’s a lovely charcoal in the Scrapbook kit and a red in the Card kit.

In addition to the main kits and the add-ons I used the following…

- more Neverland Studio Calico patterned paper

- white tags (large and medium)

- charcoal ink

- Neverland printables

- Neverland brushes

- Neverland cut files

- Mister Huey Splash

- vanilla sequins

- Amy Tangerine Calendar stamp

MAKE TODAY AWESOME | kits used: Neverland Scrapbook, Wendy, Lost Boys, Tink

This month each member of the DT lifted a layout from the gallery of the person behind us (alphabetically).
I originally found this quite hard because Nicole S. has a very different style than me.
One peek into her gallery though and I quickly found the page I wanted to lift. I chose Nicole’s Taekwondo layout

I cropped my photo into a circle but trimmed it out as a square. I moved it down a bit so the photo was beside the envelope (which I substituted the wood veneer card for).

I stressed a bit about sewing into the wood veneer… not that I thought it would split or anything… but because it’s the only one I have.;)

In the end I’m super happy with this page.

IPHONE JUNKIE | kits used: Neverland Scrapbook, Wendy, Tink

This was the first photo I printed with my new Selphy 900 printer! I love it… now I just have to remember to use it! Ha.

I layered some of the patterned papers and cut out some circle elements from the papers. I added a cut out circle using the cut files and then added a badge, sequins and other circle things to repeat the theme.

Once I was done with that I stamped various phrases from the Amy Tangerine roller stamp (from Tink) down the right side of my page.

STILL MINE | kits used: Neverland Scrapbook, Lost Boys, Tink

I knew that I wanted a layout full of tags, so I pulled out a blue paper for the background instead of my normal white. I placed my photo in the middle and then rearranged a bunch of tags until I was happy with their placement.

I filled random tags with random things…
- journaling on three of them
- a stamped image on one. I stamped the moon in yellow and then painted it in with mister huey. Then I stamped it in black again and the text in grey.
- word stickers
- rocket sticker
- title

I was just going to leave it at that, but filled up a few more spots with a badge, an ampersand tab from the project life kit and some buttons.

TO THE MOON AND BACK * MAIN KIT ONLY  * | kits used: Neverland Scrapbook

I love this picture of my daughter, even though it’s a couple of years old now.

I used the digital brushes and opened the Love You to the Moon and Back png file in the silhouette software. I was so happy with how that cut out.:)

I wanted that and my photo to shine so I just added a little bit of layering and a few arrows.

PROJECT LIFE – WEEK 5 * MAIN KIT ONLY *| kits used: Neverland Project Life

I tackled Week 5 with the March Project Life kit this round. I used a combination of the Main kit, printables and cut files.

Highlights:

- I used the flip up cards to allow for hidden journaling. When I was done it didn’t want to sit closed (flat) so I used a Maggie Holmes pin to keep it shut.
- I sewed around the two months on the journaling card that had dates on this week
- I created a cut file to use as an accent card.
- I trimmed the “High Five” card from 4×6 to 3×4 so it could fit in the smaller pockets.

PROJECT LIFE – WEEK 6 | kits used: Neverland Project Life, Neverland Scrapbook, Lost Boys, Tink

This month the Creative Team lifted the person following them in the lineup. For my Project Life spread this week I poured through Mary Ann Perry’s gallery and chose one particular card to lift from this spread.

I chose the grid card near the bottom.

Highlights:

- lifting Mary Ann’s card. I decided to print off screenshots of my daughter’s favorite shows. Sizing took the longest, but I love the end result.
- journaling sideways. I wanted to use the “memo” card from the “Tink” add-on, but using the pageprotectors I do I don’t have any small horizontal pockets. I’m totally okay with popping it in vertically and having my journaling run the same way.
- in Canada we got rid of the penny this week. I had a photo of a pile of pennies as well, but felt including an actual penny would be better. It’s simply adhered with a glue dot.
- the washi tape from the Project Life kit makes great prompts on journaling cards
- lots of pockets full of kids’ drawings
- the top right card is my favorite this week. I took the Project Life flap cards (cut on my cameo) and cut off the front. I adhered a square photo beneath it and then added patterned paper to the part beneath the word “love”. This sits on a 4×6 card with a large white tag for journaling.
- instead of my usual “week in review” card this week I used the ampersand journaling card, splattered some ink dot and journaling random tidbits on it. Then I took it to my typewriter to type some titles and to my sewing machine to underline them.
- using the Amy Tangerine calendar stamp instead of my usual calendar card

So, what did you grab this month?
