last weekend

The kids had Build-a-bear gift certificates burning a hole in their pocket…
so this past weekend we went to the city.
It’s amazing how long you can spend in that store. I think we were there for 2 hours. The line-up was crazy!! All to build and dress stuffed animals! (Of course, if they had these when I was little you KNOW I would have been there! hee hee)
Molly and Max both got animals for Christmas as well, so we brought them there to be stuffed. My mom got some gift certificates in the mail (kinda a “thanks for shopping… here’s some more gift certificates” gift certificate) so Jack got in line for one too.
Molly ended up with the Hannah Montana bear (named Hannah). Max picked up the tabby cat (named Kitty) and Jack finally settled on the black lab (named Libby).
And then they waited in line.
They stuffed. They added their heart and did the whole “rub it on your head so it’s smart… rub it on your tummy so it’s never hungry… deal”. They brushed and checked out the clothes. Molly picked two outfits. They registered them and they were put in their special Valentine’s boxes. In the end… we paid $20!
And I didn’t take any pictures because I was so busy holding animals (… remember… there were 2 stuffed ahead of time… someone had to carry those!) and picking outfits and helping dress them in front of the dressing room mirrors!
After that we headed to Montana’s and then headed home.
So, these are the pics I got from our day.

And this guy has finally learned to stop turning away and just let me take the picture! :)

I find it hilarious how far apart they sit!

I’m trying to be better about taking everyday pictures and not worrying about whether the light is perfect or not!! Some different processing because of it.

tam - sounds like a great day! I know my boys would love build a bear... one day. And your pictures are perfect. love how you capture the everyday moments.

eva - Yum, Montanna's!! Sounds like a good day. Jonas and I went to Winnipeg in December sometime and we went into Build a Bear... to watch. :) He doesn't really get it yet so that works for now.
