WASHI ORGANIZATION

I love washi.  It’s no secret.  But I have a big problem in that I see pretty tape, order it, and then realize that I already have that style!  Oops.

So earlier last week I set about a solution to that problem.

And here’s what I came up with.

I took a bunch of shipping tags I had and wrapped a little strip of washi tape at the bottom of each of them.

ETA:  I also wrote the manufacturer on the back.

Once this was done I simply added them to a ring.

And yes, I do need a bigger ring.  hee hee.

Two items of note for fellow washi lovers (or wannabes)…

1. Studio Calico is gearing up for a washi workshop featuring all these pretty little tapes.  Tons of contributors and a gob of PDFs!!  So, if you’re looking to find some new ways to use your washi you might want to consider signing up for this class!

2. If you love washi you might also want to keep an eye on this little shop.  (I’m just sayin’)  ;)

  • Melissa Stinson - Such an awesome idea, Marcy!! I’m totally going to do this with my washi- it’s a bit out of control and I have a hard time remembering what I have when it’s time to work on a project. This will also solve the problem of all those rolls that I like to leave bundled up with my SC kits, but then forget I have.

I think I’m going to write the manufacturer (and name, if there is one) on the tag, too, plus add a note if it’s in a certain kit bag as opposed to in my main washi storage.

Thanks for such a great tip!ReplyCancel
