We’re still all about the Lego in this house!  All. Day. Long.

One sneaks them into “school” and plays with them all afternoon.

One sets up scenes and photographs and films them.

One knows how badly her brothers want her Marvel sets and would rather keep them in a box then sell them to them.

All images in this post and in my Florida Week One Recap post were edited with the A Beautiful Mess actions.  These are my current go-tos when editing my photos!  I love that every layer in each action is editable on it’s own and can seriously not say enough nice things about them.  For most of my everyday photos I brighten them up a bit and then use Celeste (from the Fresh Collection) and sharpen.  The photos above also use a bit of Paris (also from the Fresh Collection).

HAPPY EASTER  |  Happy Easter friends!!!  We’ll be sneaking in a little time with family in between more work on the yard.  Big things are happening and I’ve never officially shared them.  I keep planning a post on that but it always gets bumped to the back.

But, yes… wishing you a lovely weekend of Easter celebration with your families!

Between posts on my website you can find me sharing ideas and stories on Instagram.  You can follow me here.

  • Stephanie Bryan - Oh man am I crushing on that double decker couch Lego. My two love Legos, but aren’t at the stage of playing with them all day long. I secretly hope it turns into an obsession like your boys…. :) ReplyCancel

  • carla - Enjoy your weekend and have a Happy Easter! I can’t wait to see the progress.ReplyCancel

  • Amber - Your photography is lovely! The edits are really nice but the composition is stunning.ReplyCancel

Giving the cameo a break and trimming up some Studio Calico (freebie) printables by hand.  Kinda therapeutic.

Every Wednesday I’ll share a glimpse into my creative space.  I’d love it if you’d share a peek at yours too.  Feel free to link up below.  (Please link directly to your blog post or Instagram photo).  If you’re sharing on Instagram use the hashtag #hfworkspacewednesday.

I’m back in the Garden at Two Peas.  And super happy to be there.

Late last year things got busy.  Too many assignments really.  But this year started better.  Commitments were fewer.  So I rejoined the Garden.

And now things are crazy busy… busier before with new (major) projects starting up.  But I’m going to make it work.

Because I love the chance to put together my own product collections to use on my pages.  To mix and match things that I love.

I’m in.  And it feels good.

So far this month I’ve had two projects go up in the Garden (one that includes a video).

I’m back with my first video of the year… and this time it’s a page I made marking the moment my youngest got glasses.

My kids are older, and milestones just don’t happen as much for us anymore. But this was one and I was happy to create a page about it.

I used a lot of Crate paper’s Boys Rule line and that Mr. Rad journaling card was my jumping off point.

In this video I share how I created this page and my thought process throughout.

One of our most recent milestones was my daughter’s first day of high school.  That was a biggie.

Nevermind the fact that… how in the world am I old enough to have a teenage daughter!!

I ran the design of this page across the center and layered on a Studio Calico tag, stacked love sentiment (an exclusive Two Peas cut file) and the photo.  Once that was done I added more layers with papers and embellishments.

  • Stephanie Baxter - Yay! That makes me happy! Will you be doing Project Life videos there again? Have really missed those.ReplyCancel
